Sunday school was opened by Ukrbud Corporation at Holosiivskyi district in Kyiv
Sunday school at Holy Ascension church at Holosiivskyi district was opened. It was built new and modern building, where children can take art classes, such as ceramics and iconography lessons, attend choral library, and study the Scriptures.
Many people know the Orthodox Church on Demiyivka, but not that many people know that it is 130 years old. Holy Ascension church was built by the efforts of parishioners. It was one of the few survived during the Bolshevik persecution and was not closed after its christening in 1883. Farther Pavlo, shepherd of the Church, told that few rooms will be given to social center “Parasolka” to support the poor. Dentist care and free legal support will be located there.
It was built a small chapel by the efforts of the Ukrbud Corporation and the resources of the President of the Ukrbud Corporation Maksym Mykytas few months before. And now it was opened Sunday school. Farther Pavlo presented Maksym Mykytas the icon "Mother of God" in gratitude.
The event held by the parishioners touched the hearts of all attending it. Most of the people were crying while the children choir was singing. It were the tears of Happiness and Hope.
